TESTIMONIALS

What our students and parents say about their experience...

"It was such a joy to work with you and get to know you. Thank you so much for welcoming me into your classroom.  You are not only an extremely talented artist, but also a natural teacher and a kind, generous, compassionate person. I have learned so much from you in only a few weeks. I have not only learned about art, but more importantly, how to live each day with passion, energy, creativity, and confidence. Thank you so much for making my time so special."

-Mary, Doylestown, PA

"My 5-year-old daughter had the opportunity to participate in Miss Kristy's art class for a few sessions and thrived!  She loves to draw and color but Miss Kristy brought out her true talents while keeping it a fun and age-appropriate learning atmosphere!  She had so much fun learning how to draw and paint a self portrait, a horse, learning blending techniques and so much more!  She even came home trying to teach her big brother all about what she learned!  I'm looking forward to continuing Miss Kristy's Art Classes!"

~ Jenn J., Doylestown, PA

" I loved the classes, they were so much fun. But the Best Part was you showing me how to do it."

“We liked the way you were so patient and calm. Thank you very much!”

“Now we know how to make a self portrait and the way you make skin color. It is really a good technique. I will try to use it more often.”

“We had so much fun with you!”

~ Second Grade Class, Princeton, NJ

"I want to thank you for two excellent weeks of art for my kids. Both of them could not wait to get to class each day. Your teaching was fresh and skillful, and both of them learned while they had fun. You are encouraging and challenging - a great blend! Both girls have had many years of fine art and got a lot out of the hours with you. Thank you so much!”

-Karen, Doylestown, PA

~Kerstin, Student

"Thank you for being a fun teacher. I really enjoyed all the cool projects that we have done in our class. You have been a supportive teacher to me. Thank you you for all the hard work you have done."

"You are by far one of the coolest teachers I've had. You're a wonderful artist and you should go on deviantart (It is really fun). You are the teacher that inspired me to be a graphic designer. I thought that making graphics was going to be something I'd do for fun, not actually a job. I really want to get a job in graphic designing; I want to go to FIT in New York. You are extremely cool and I owe a lot to you. Your lessons are really cool and your drawings are even cooler.

“So many years ago I began to grow a passion for art. I was a kid who loved to doodle in sketchbooks and imagine things that I wished were real. One year my mom suggested I take a class for fashion design, and I was so excited because at the time I was very serious about becoming a fashion designer as an adult. Little did I know that this class would change my entire life.

It was the first day of class at with Miss. Kristy. I had no idea what to expect, but it was on that day that I became serious about my artistic career. Miss. Kristy taught me how to draw the proportions of a female fashion figure and I remember being so proud of myself because I never imagined I could create something that great. That week of classes with Miss. Kristy started something in me that I did not even know existed, and since then I have never stopped drawing. She was always there to teach me how to draw a certain thing if I was unsure, and always willing to give me even more help than she needed to. I could always tell that with Miss. Kristy, this was not a job for her, but a passion, and it was the most amazing and helpful thing I could have ever asked for.

After my first class, I went on to take many of Miss. Kristy’s other classes year after year, and eventually, when I became too old for them, I started helping her as a counselor- in-training. I have had a TON of art teachers in my life, and I will always say that Miss. Kristy is by far my favorite. I cannot think of a single time where she ever told me to give up on something or made me feel like I should stop trying. She was always so supportive of me, especially when I was creating my college portfolio. In fact, I really miss her now that I am off in college because even after a year of college professors, I still see her as one of the most helpful and amazing teachers I have ever had.

I am so excited that Doylestown will be graced with  ArtMuse Studio. I really hope people will consider taking art classes with Miss Kristy as well, because if you are serious about art, she will be nothing but helpful. And even if you are just doing it as a hobby, she is extremely caring and a good friend. Plus, even if you are a beginner, she makes it very accessible for people of all ages and skill levels. It is really amazing how much I learned from all of the classes I took from Mrs. Kristy. I really hope anyone else interested in taking a class with her can have the same experience, because I would never ask for anything different from mine.”
