January 9th- February 27th Tuesdays 4:45PM - 6:15PM Age: Ages 10-Teen Instructor: Kristy DeFlores Materials: All supplies for this session are included. This drawing basic class will focus on perspective drawing but not limited to. For students wanting to learn fundamental drawing skills, this class starts by creating a strong foundation to build upon. This class will be split into two parts. During the introductory phase, students will receive formal element training. They will focus on the basics of representational drawing: line, shape, contrast, and gradation. Students will learn how contrasts of value creates form and in combination with gradations you will achieve an illusion of realism. Through a variety of sequential exercises, students will learn to create works of art that demonstrate one point and two-point perspective. During the second phase of the session, students will apply their learned skills to create a perspective drawing from life, photography, or imagination. Future Drawing Basics classes will build upon the skills learned in this class
